So, in various states, yesterday and over the past few days we had numerous protests of people claiming they back the protection of illegal immigrants coming into America. All of them waving Mexico Flags, mixed in with some Rainbow flags and Transgenders.
The Protestors in Bronson, MI were mainly made up of students and some adults who were protesting the deportation enacted by President Trump. The Coldwater Daily Reporter and the wonderful Sturgis Journal made their way to the protest. We did not participate nor attended the protests in Bronson or Lansing. We did get a chance however to enhance the photo taken by The Coldwater Daily Reporter using software to view the photo online, and found some interesting statements on the signs.
The first sign that caught our attention was “No one is illegal on stolen land” with the drawing of the mexican flag found in the bottom left hand corner. This may suggest that America had taken land from Mexico, and suggested that we “stole it”…My question is..is this what these students are being taught in Bronson Community Schools, and by whom?
The United States acquired a large amount of land from Mexico through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which ended the Mexican-American War in 1848. The land included parts of California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming.
The U.S. acquisition of this land was part of the Manifest Destiny, which was the idea that the U.S. should spread democracy across the continent.
Maybe Mexicans should take a dive back in history and learn that>>Some Mexican people are Native American, as Mexico was inhabited by Native Americans before the Spanish arrived in the 16th century. However, not all Mexican people are Native American, as many are mestizos, meaning they have mixed Native American and European ancestry. In other words…there were Native Americans IN MEXICO before Mexicans were the dominating culture. As of 2020, the indigenous population of Mexico was 23.2 million people, which is about 19.4% of the country’s total population. This number is based on people who self-identified as indigenous in the 2020 Population and Housing Census.
Explanation
Most Mexicans have some indigenous ancestry.
The indigenous population of Mexico is spread throughout the country, but is most concentrated in the south and south-central regions.
The states with the largest indigenous populations are Oaxaca and Yucatán.
The most common indigenous languages spoken in Mexico are Náhuatl, Maya, Tzeltal, Mixteco, Tzotzil, Zapoteco, and Otomí.
If they are referring to Indians who were here during the late 1600’s when most of the settlers had arrived from England and began to fight the natives for land, then native Americans came into American land from Mexico and began to diverse in culture and mix. Perhaps then, these students, along with the thousands of protestors who are marching in Los Angeles, Houston, and those that stood with a crockpot and variety of protestors in Lansing..are claiming that WE as Americans dont belong in our own country. That we , and our heritage had stolen the land from THEIR ancestors..and now, they want it back……Good Luck. Through treaties signed by dozens of Indians, the land we have belongs to American citizens and the United States Government.
Our President is not telling Americans to protest in Mexico about how uneducated some mexicans are….and for those to protest with Mexican Flags, claiming we occupy stolen land are sadly mistaken. In addition, if you come to America from poverty stricken, no plumbing for waste water, cartel infiltrated Mexico to escape the life you were forced to live, and then protest that we as Americans must be “Christian like” to allow illegals into our country, stating that “jesus was a poor immigrant”…( another statement on one of the signs in Bronson, MI.) without the proper vetting and documentation..then your positively uneducated regarding the laws of this land and a danger to all citizens for doing so.
Was Jesus actually a poor Immigrant?
According to some interpretations, Jesus was an immigrant and a refugee. The Bible tells the story of Jesus’s parents fleeing Bethlehem to Egypt to escape the genocide of baby boys ordered by King Herod.
Jesus’s experience as a refugee can also be seen as an example of how to move forward despite immigration conflicts
According to the Geneva Refugee Convention, Jesus and his parents would be considered refugees.
Jesus’s experience as a refugee and immigrant can be used to inspire empathy for immigrants and refugees today.
Some say that Jesús’s experience with migration can be seen as a divine endorsement of migration and an example of how to support immigrants.
But is this accurate according to scripture, and documented historical facts among the Jews who recorded the events of Jesus, and according to the historian Josephus?
Jesus as a baby was taken by Mary and Joseph to Egypt to escape the genocide that King herod had ordered. However, one only look to the historical facts surrounding Egypt and it’s sovereignty to learn that Egypt officially became a nation in 1922.
5,000 years ago, the land of Egypt existed and is known as the some of the oldest land in the middle east, having access to everyone who dwelt on the earth at that time..it did not have borders like Egypt has today. The Gaza-Egypt border (12 km) was negotiated between the Ottoman empire (that ruled Gaza) and the British empire (that ruled Egypt) in 1906. The Israel-Egypt border was established by the 1949 Armistice Agreements between Egypt and Israel. So, historically speaking, Egypt officially was not a bordered country, nor would it have been considered to be a “foreign land” during Jesus birth. It simply was an extension of all of the Middle East with different cultures residing in and around the areas of.
In conclusion, all of these protests of people claiming that Illegals should be allowed to come, are coming from a large number of people who may very well be …illegals themselves. Pam Bondi was sworn in as attorney general yesterday, and more pressure is now going to be put on Sanctuary cities harboring the illegals. Let’s see how states quickly give up their illegals when they have no federal funding to support them.
